The Sports Ethics Center plans to investigate the reporter, surrounding people, witnesses, and the reported person (the perpetrator).

If a serious act is discovered during the investigation or if it is determined that an investigation is necessary, a police investigation may be requested.

Lee Hae-in was reported to the Federation’s Sports Fair Play Committee after being caught drinking alcohol at the National Figure Skating Team’s Training Camp in Varese, Italy from the 15th to the 28th of last month.

During the investigation, the Federation confirmed that inappropriate behavior had occurred in addition to drinking alcohol.

It was reported that Lee Hae-in had invited A, a minor junior of the opposite sex, to the dorm and committed an unpleasant act.

On the 20th, the Federation imposed a 3-year suspension on Lee Hae-in for sexually harassing A.

On the 27th, Lee Hae-in revealed his name and refuted the allegations.

He said, “I deeply regret drinking alcohol, but it is not true that I sexually harassed a minor.”

He claimed, “(The victim) was my boyfriend when I was in high school, and we started dating again during this training camp,” and “I could not tell the federation about the relationship during the federation’s investigation.”

Separately, another former national figure skating team member, B, was suspended for one year by the federation for filming Lee Hae-in illegally without her consent during training camp and showing the photos to A.

The federation also reported B to the Sports Ethics Center.

Both Lee Hae-in and B filed a retrial request with the Korea Sports Council’s Sports Fair Play Committee, the higher-level organization.
